DUST’s inaugural exhibition at its new Las Vegas Blvd. home is entitled
Unknown and presents
new work by New York artist Marietta Hoferer .
Unknown is on display from February 8 – March
23, 2008.

Hoferer is known for her intricately structured drawings made by small hand-cut pieces of clear
tape affixed over a penciled grid on paper. Light plays over the semi-translucent tape causing
shapes to appear, shimmer and dissolve. An exhibition catalog, produced by Dust with an
essay by Brian Young, Curator, Academy Art Museum in Easton , MD accompanies the
exhibition.

Hoferer has exhibited worldwide and is included in the collections of the Bellagio, Las Vegas ,
Nevada , the Bush-Reisinger Museum at Harvard University , Cambridge , Massachusetts and
Zurich Capital Markets, New York , New York among many others.
